Our quaint alpine hut is located on Gnanitz pasture, 9km from the village of Tauplitz. Different hiking trails lead to Gnanitz. If you prefer getting there in a relaxed way, you can follow the 2.7km long trail to the hut. Your hostess “Vevi” is on the hut daily and spoils you with regional culinary delights.

Pasture coffee and the homemade sweets are especially recommendable. Every Friday fresh Styrian doughnuts – a regional specialty – are on offer.

Hochl hut is also a perfect destination for festive occasions like birthday parties, company or club outings and the like. Such occasions are mostly celebrated with a BBQ at the hut. If you plan an excursion and would like to stay longer, we can also offer a BBQ night with an overnight stay at the hotel. We are also happy to organize musicians.
